Meg Morrissey

Meg Morrissey grew up dancing at the Georgia Dance Conservatory in her hometown of Marietta, Georgia. She trained with GDC and performed as a company member of the Ruth Mitchell Dance Theatre for fifteen devoted years. Meg then went on to continue her study of ballet, contemporary, jazz, and modern dance at Northwestern University, graduating in June of 2012 with a B.A. in Dance and a B.A. in International Studies.

Along with teaching classes and workshops around the greater Atlanta area, Meg has been a company member of Sideways Contemporary Dance Company, Graffiti Dancers, and Fuerta Dance Company. Her choreographic work has been featured by the New Movement Project, Atlanta's Dance Canvas in 2014 and 2016, and MIXTAPE. Meg is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Fuerta Dance Company, as well as the owner and Director of Druid Hills Dance Center.


Audrey Crabtree

Audrey Crabtree holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts degree in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. Her performance work includes the theme park stages of Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Six Flags Magic Mountain dancing at Howl-O-Scream, Christmastown, Looney Tunes Kids Club, Fright Fest, and Holiday in the Park. Living in Los Angeles, Audrey performed with L.A. Unbound, the Speak Hill Dance Project, City Ballet of Los Angeles, Amaterasu Dance Company, and J Sutta. Moving back to Atlanta, Audrey worked with Watershed Dance Theatre and performed six concert seasons in leading roles with Sideways Contemporary Dance Company. Choreographic works by Audrey were presented in 2021 at Atlanta's Spring for Spring & Fall for Fall dance festivals. A dance educator at RISPA and mother of two, Audrey is honored to be in rehearsals as a company member with Fuerta Dance Company, ALA Dance, Monica Hogan Danceworks, and guesting with the Esthete Collective for 2022! Audrey first appeared with Fuerta Dance Company as a performer in the 2016 dance film collection "en la mente" in the titles Id, Choice, & Detach. Her appearances with Fuerta continued through Dance Canvas, Zoetic's Mixtape dance festival, and other showcases.


Abi Grassler

Abi Grassler is a San Francisco native who moved to Atlanta in 2015 to attend Emory University. She graduated in 2019 with a double-major in Dance and Movement Studies and Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. At Emory, Abi trained primarily in contemporary-modern and had the opportunity to perform for Greg Catallier, Kendra Portier, and Sally Raddell, as well as student choreographers during her time in the program. As a senior Abi was awarded the department’s Vail Scholarship in 2019. Since graduating, Abi has performed for independent Atlanta-based choreographers Jacquelyn Pritz, Catherine Messina, and Amelia Jazwa, and has worked with Gwinnett Dance Project for two seasons. Abi is also a neuroscience research specialist at Emory University and loves finding points of connection between science and art. 


Kia J. Street

Kia Street began dancing at the age of three at Norma’s Academy of Dance and continued her training at Dance with Donna Webb. She decided to pursue a dance career while attending Fine Arts Magnet at Mount Zion High School, now named Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts in Jonesboro, GA. Kia graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance in May 2015. While attending VSU she performed at the annual dance concerts, American College Dance Association, and during halftime with the marching band as a Blazette. She has taken master classes from Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, T. Lang Dance, Staibdance, Galen Hooks, and many more. She has choreographed for high school marching band dance lines, Modco Dance Company, and for Dancefx Atlanta's adult company members. Currently, she is an instructor as well as the Assistant Director at Dancefx Atlanta. Professionally, she has performed with Sideways Contemporary Dance Company, Modco Dance Company, and is excited for her second season with Fuerta Dance Company.


Jenn Klammer

Jenn Klammer is an Atlanta based creative, movement artist, and educator. She has received her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the University of Florida. During her undergraduate experience, she has presented work at UF’s Annual Research Symposium, was understudy for Jose Limon’s The Traitor, and performed internationally at the Florence Dance Festival in Florence, Italy. In 2019, Jenn moved to Atlanta and has worked with various artists in the area including ALA Dance, Bautanzt Here, and other local creatives. She is currently a dance instructor at Legacy Dance Centre, where she finds intense passion and humanity in as an educator, as well as serving for DanceAtl’s Community Committee and the Bridge Dance Project. Her work has been presented at Dance Canvas’ Palette Project, Fall for Fall Dance Festival, and The Mediums Collective’s Play. Risk. Research. Jenn’s work seeks to explores the body, mind, and soul connection of one’s physical and mental spirit and how it manifests and translates into the greater world around us. This is her second season with Fuerta, and is beyond excited to learn from, and partake in movement with its dancers.


Lauren Michelle

Lauren Michelle is a freelance movement artist new to Atlanta. She has performed in soloist and ensemble roles throughout the U.S. with Chicago Repertory Ballet, the Portland Opera, Point Park University's Conservatory Dance Company, and in other freelance projects.

Lauren received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from Point Park University. Her diverse training has included studying and performing alongside companies such as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, NW Dance Project, Shen Wei Dance Arts, Houston Contemporary Dance Company, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.

She is thrilled to be back on stage, making her Atlanta debut with Fuerta Dance Company and the Esthete Collective.


Olivia Rowe

Olivia Rowe is a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher, and stage manager in the Atlanta area. She graduated from Kennesaw State University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. 

 In high school, Olivia trained at Atlanta Academy of Ballet as a professional trainee, as well as Balletmet Columbus and Nashville Ballet. She received her early dance education at Impact Dance of Atlanta, where she was certified in American Ballet Theatre technique. In college, she was privileged to study Gaga dance technique and repertoire at the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Olivia's recent professional performance endeavors include companies City Gate Dance Theater, Ballet Southeast, and Gotta Dance Contemporary where she has performed both classical and contemporary works. At Kennesaw State, she has been honored to work with choreographers such as Christine Winkler, Martha Goodman, Lisa Lock, and Dr. Ivan Pulinkala. Olivia is a current company member of the Fuerta Dance Company and Director of The Esthete Collective.


Claire Korfas

Claire Korfas is a Georgia native and grew up dancing with the Atlanta Jazz Theatre, training and competing in various styles. She then went on to study dance at the University of Georgia. While there, she was a member of CORE contemporary and Ariel Dance, UGA Dance Company, and was president of the Young Choreographers Series. She received her BFA in dance and her BS in Human Development and Family Science, and is now working in Atlanta as a behavioral therapist, dancing locally, and teaching dance and choreographing at Dan and Company and for the Atlanta Jazz Theatre. Claire is so excited to be a member of Fuerta with such incredible women.


Leah Kelly

Leah Kelly began her pre-professional dance training at the British Academy of Performing Arts in her hometown Marietta, GA, and furthered her abilities at Valdosta State University. There she received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. At the university, Leah was fortunate enough to dance in annual dance concerts and multiple dance festivals. Over the past 8 years as an Atlanta based dancer, Leah has enjoyed teaching, collaborating, and choreographing. You will currently find Leah performing throughout the Metro Atlanta area with Fuerta Dance company, VIA UNI,  ALA Dance company and several independent projects.


Laura Chambers

Laura Chambers considers herself an intuitive thinker and creator that is continuously striving to explore and grow in a variety of creative fields. Originally from Florida, she recently relocated to Atlanta to start her career as Project Manager of Deljou Art Group and to plant her roots as a choreographer and freelance movement artist. In 2020, Laura completed her Bachelor of Science in Media Studies from The New School in New York City.  Prior, Laura received an Associate of Arts concentration in Modern Dance from the University of South Florida.

Laura has studied dance extensively with a variety of movement artists as well as attending numerous dance festivals on scholarship including the American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, University of the Arts Summer Program, and the Florida Dance Festival. In addition, Laura has completed several arts administration internships, her first being through Sarasota Contemporary Dance (2014/2017) as well as MICHIYAYA Dance in New York City (2019).
